art rant! 

i feel like my art’s the prettiest it’s ever been and i’m happy w my development colours wise and i’m drawing full bodies apart from portraits (which is my comfort zone at least digitally) and idk i feel like there’s definitely a progress (not perfection never perfection, you’re never 100% content w your art but there is love for it obviously) but i’ve literally gone from 100 likes on instagram (my average) to 40 ?? and it’s so discouraging hh like, i understand exposure depends on timing and the content itself (for instance if i post sf9 fanart i know my ptg followers or try guys followers won’t care for it) and i only have over 500 followers which isn’t that big an audience, but idk even big 15k follower accounts get insecure about getting 2k likes intead of 10k so imagine me w my 40 likes lmao 

i’m just a lil sad it makes you feel like no one’s watching so why post your art at all, ironically though bc i know no one following my tumblr’s here for my art but i still post it at whatever time anyway !!

fact tho: i was shite at it so these two wonderful gals got on their knees by my side and caught one beautiful tiny creature for me, he’s called Sebastian, i’ve spent more money so far on him than on food for meself lmao and yea, it was a great morning and i’m very happy with this smol fella 

i also went to karaoke (which i was not going btw because i am br o ke, but this guy from my dorm just went “go, i’ll pay for ya” and breh,,, i’m the ‘i don’t need your money sir tyvm” type, but a man has no gold, no strength to fight them lads and wanted to go with her squad, so i was like ‘fuck it, muchas gracias muchacho’) and i had the time of my life, it was so fun, expensive as hell tho so i would 1000% recommend but only if you have a nIce jap lad who’ll offer to pay, otherwise you’re fucked ‘cause it was like 240€ for 10 ppl

okay so as you know if you’ve read my tags i’m in japan rn, i’m gonna spend the year here studying, and apart from me being kinda sick from all this goddamn rice and a/c, it’s been so fun so far, i’ve met so many people both japanese and other foreign students, i’ve already spent like 5000yen on yaoi, the animate store is gonna be the death of my wallet is s2g, and idk it’s way better than i expected, i rarely have time for myself from all this socialising, so yea idk when i’ll be making gifs/drawing, but i’ll probs let you know about my adventures if you’re into that, we’ll see~
